PM Mac OS X Yosemite

(Neil Mathieson) #1

Good Afternoon

I just upgraded to OS X Yosemite 10.10.2 and i seem to have lost the little arrow thingy in the top RH corner of the display that switches to full screen?

Works OK from View - Enter Full screen

Any solution?

OK - got it sussed. Full screen selected by clicking on the green button top left hand corner, then out of full screen by “esc” or hovering cursor in top left corner and clicking on the green again.

Hi Neil

Yes, Yosemite changed the behaviour of the “traffic lights” window controls.

Previously, the green button would maximise the window to fill the screen, and there would be a full-screen button on the right hand side of the window in supported apps.

Now, the green button has changed to put the app into full-screen mode.

If you want to use the existing maximise control, hold down the Option (Alt) key and click the green button. You will notice while pressing Option that the icon on the button changes from the full-screen arrows to a plus, meaning maximise.
